your builder

Dave here, owner of DMC Projects. I am a Licensed Certified Builder based in Christchurch with over 20 years' experience in the industry.

My work includes architectural builds, residential homes, renovations, small building projects and light commercial building projects.

Whether it’s building someone their dream home, adding a new addition to an existing home, or restoring something back to its original condition – it’s a pretty neat job, when you see the end result.

Building for over 20 years

my experience

I started my building career in my hometown Timaru, where I mastered the basics of the trade. Since then I have lived and worked in NZ, Australia and the UK, where I have successfully built a range of homes, and managed a number of teams to ensure building projects were completed to a high standard.

My experience as a carpenter in New Zealand and overseas has given me the opportunity to explore a number of different building approaches and techniques, which has come to good use when my clients are looking for something unique.

I have been lucky enough to work on a range of building projects, from reconstructing high-end apartments in London, rebuilding houses in Bundaberg after a devastating flood, to restoring villas in Wellington, carrying out EQC repairs in Canterbury, and constructing architectural and residential homes in Timaru, Dunedin and Christchurch – the list goes on.

I have completed a National Certificate in Project Management, as this is something I have always been interested in. Time, cost and quality control is a very important aspect of the build process, and plays a major role in the success of a project.

This gives my clients a sense of security when they embark on a building project with me. You can be assured that I am there to get the job done, on-time, on-budget, and to an excellent standard.

After travelling overseas, my wife and I have decided to make Christchurch our home. We now have a little family that is growing, and we enjoy watching Christchurch take shape, and being part of the process.

If you are looking at starting a building project whether it’s a new home, work on an existing one, or something else, get in touch.
